The Malian government on Wednesday ratified the technical assistance loan agreement it signed 6 January with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), for the funding of the feasibility study of a 365-kilometre road linking Kidal and Timiaouine, a city located near the Algerian border.
An official communique, issued here Thursday, said the agreement is worth 994 million francs CFA.
It said the road, when completed, will open up north-eastern Mali and quicken economic development in the area.
