A delegation of 18 Russian tour operators is currently visiting the region Nefzaoua before heading to the Jerid region in the Governorate of Kebili to learn about the features of these regions of southern Tunisia.
Mohamed Sayem, Local Tourism Commissioner has told TAP correspondent it is “the third consecutive visit to the region in a month.”
The aim is to boost the promotional campaign launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts in partnership with the National Office of Tunisian Tourism (ONTT) and tourism professionals to promote the Tunisia destination among European tourists including the Russian market.
The Russian delegation has taken note of the various hotel services in the area and learnt about the product presented in the tourist entertainment units that offer quad and camel riding.
This is a clean product in the region that offers tourists the opportunity to spend a whole day between the sand dunes before moving to Douz and especially visit the city’s craft souk.
