Tunisia: dinar depreciates 8.4% against dollar, 3.4% against euro in 2015

The exchange rate of the dinar depreciated by 1.4% against the Euro and appreciated 1.6% versus the dollar in December 2015, the Central Bank of Tunisia reported on Thursday.

For the full year 2015, the dinar depreciated by 8.4% against the dollar and appreciated 3.4% versus the euro.

The average money market interest rate stood at 4.28% in December 2015 against 4.30% one month earlier. This reflects the convergence of the money market rate towards the BCT key interest rate in connection with the intervention instruments of the Central Bank and the injection of cash to regulate the money market.
