The electronic payment sector using the e-dinar platform has increased by 2%. According to the annual report of the Tunisian Post for the financial year 2015, the number of electronic payment transactions grew from 687 thousand in 2014 to around 700 thousand in 2015.
Similarly, the number of electronic cardholders has exceeded 542 thousand customers. According to the same source, the e-dinar smart card enabled its users to carry out 364 thousand remote university registration operations for the academic year 2015/2016 from 207 academic institutions via the Internet.
