As part of the promotion of Tunisian tourism in source markets several operations were initiated.
The Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts and Hungarian tour operator Taurus Reisen have organized fact-finder tours for a hundred Hungarian travel agents from January 28 to 31 January, 2016 to explore the Tunisian tourist offer in Sousse, Hammamet and Tunis.
This is an opportunity for the Hungarian TO to present its promotional brochures for the year 2016 in Sousse.
These officials said that the choice of Tunisia to hold their meeting is intended as a sign of confidence and solidarity especially as Tunisia destination is valued by Hungarian tourists.
They also adopted ambitious targets on Tunisia which received more than 23,000 Hungarian tourists in 2015.
On another level, the representation of Tunisian tourism in Germany organized a press trip to Tunisia for twenty German journalists from different media from January 29 to 31.
This comes on the eve of the Tunisian participation in ITB Berlin, which is the largest global tourism event.
On this occasion Mrs. Selma Elloumi-Rekik, Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts held a press conference with the German media on February 1.
This participation has already been the subject of several preparatory meetings in order to give required efficiency to the presence of Tunisia in the event.
