Tunisia-Maghreb: BMICE has begun funding

The five Maghreb countries have agreed to release a quarter of the capital of the Maghreb Investment and Foreign Trade Bank (BMICE), with an amount of 150 million dollars, said BMICE Director General, Noureddine Zekri.

Speaking on the sidelines of a conference organized under the theme “Establishment of Tunisian companies in Algeria: partnership and economic complementarity”, he asserted that Tunisia was chosen to house the bank’s headquarters.

The first branch will be opened in Mauritania in late 2017, said the official, adding that the bank is recruiting executives from all Maghreb countries.
