Tunisia: over 100 businessmen take part in economic meeting of expatriates

More than 100 Tunisian businessmen residing in European and Arab countries or in Tunisia are taking part in the economic meeting of Tunisians Abroad held from August 12 to 14 on the theme “investment opportunities and areas of cooperation,” according to organisers.

The meeting, held by “Namaa Tounes” organization, aims to facilitate meetings with Tunisian businessmen living abroad to strengthen co-operation and technical and financial partnership, create a strong network of businessmen and groups able to conquer new markets and unleash new economic and development dynamics in Tunisia, said secretary general of the Association “Namaa Tounes” (Development of Tunisia), Jamel Boukhris.

Studies projects whose initiators are seeking financing or partnership will be presented as part of B to B meetings, besides the presentation of success stories and Holding for development and investment that has 70 shareholders from among members of the organisation.

The increase in the capital of the holding company and its openness to investments will be announced during the meeting, besides the presentation of 11 key projects in hand, including the creation of a specialized media in the field of health and an agricultural grouping for production and export based on production contracts in Bizerte.

Participants called on the new government to show more interest for economic diplomacy and Tunisians living abroad and recommended strengthening the Tunisian economic representation abroad, especially in Africa

“Namaa Tounes” presents itself as a non-profit organization that works to boost investment and partnership between businessmen residing in Tunisia and abroad.
