Tunisia: passenger car sales down 5.1%

Sales of passenger cards declined 5.1% in the first nine months of this year, said broker “AXIS CAPITAL”.

In this respect, 38,977 new vehicle registrations were sold in Tunisia, until the end of September 2015, against 41,057 units sold during the same period in 2014.

Loukil Group, UADH (Universal Auto Distributors Holding) maintained its leadership, with 6,332 registrations sold, or 16.25% of the market share, said the same source.

Citroën held the 1st place in Tunisia (passenger cars and commercial vehicles) during the first nine months of 2015, selling 5,201 units since the beginning of the year, 13.34% of market share.

Mazda has done “an excellent month of September,” with 245 registrations across all of its range, i.e. a total of 1,131 vehicles sold until the end of September, posting an increase of 4% compared to the same period in 2014.
