State carrier RwandAir Express is to buy at least 17 Boeing aircraft by 2015 in a bid to expand its network to several African, Asian and Latin American countries, airline General Manager John Mirenge said on Friday.
Mirenge said the airline would, by late July, launch daily flights to many African capitals, including Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire), Juba (South Sudan) and Douala (Cameroon).
The Rwandan airline is currently using only Boeing and Bombardier types of aircraft, Mirenge said.
