The value-added tax (VAT) applied to fixed Internet services in homes is reduced from 19% to 7%, as stipulated in the Finance Act 2019, which came into force after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Tunisia.
This measure will allow the systematic reduction of broadband Internet subscription fees and will encourage an increase in the number of Internet subscribers.
It also aims at ensuring social inclusion, narrowing the digital divide between regions and facilitating consumer access to the Internet.
