Tunisia: Aluminum fluoride exports exceed 35 million dinars at end of February

Tunisia’s Aluminum Fluoride (AlF3) exports totaled 20.19 million dinars in January 2019.

In February 2019, export sales reached 15.06 million dinars.

Thus, during the first two months of 2019, Tunisia’s exports of aluminum fluoride (AlF3) amounted to 35.25 million dinars against 32.9 million for the entire first quarter (three months) from the previous year.

The strong sales recovery in January 2019 is attributed to the 9.4-million-dinar exports to Egypt.

In February, UAE (United Arab Emirates) grabbed the lion’s share with deliveries of 6.4 million dinars, against 4.3 million in January.

Brazil has secured 3.2 million dinars, followed by Russia, whose supply from Tunisia is fairly regular, with sales of 2.85 million dinars in February, preceded by 2.77 million dinars in January 2019.

The Sultanate of Oman imported 2.1 million dinars from Tunisia in February 2019 and 1.8 million the previous month. Finally Turkey is buying 0.51 million dinars, against 0.46 million a month earlier.

In the first two months of 2019, Tunisia exported an average of 17.6 million dinars a month, compared to an average of 12.7 million dinars for the whole of 2018.

Tunisia had exported 153.19 million dinars of aluminum fluoride over the year 2018, against 112 million in 2017 and 78.7 million in 2016.
