Tunisia: ATCT reports 5.21% increase in recruitment abroad until end September

The number of Tunisian guest workers as part of technical cooperation reached 2,409 till the end of September 2019; up 5.21% compared to the same period in 2018, the Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation (ATCT) said on its official website.

The education and higher education sectors account for 51% of the total number of recruitments, with 1,221 recruits, followed by the health sector and administration with 436 and 270, respectively, according to the same source.

Saudi Arabia is in the lead of Gulf countries in terms of hiring Tunisian experts, by concluding 538 contracts, followed by Qatar (339), United Arab Emirates (260), Kuwait (166) and Sultanate of Oman (131).

The Arab countries have the lion’s share of hires with 1,530 guest workers (63.5% of recruitment), followed by Europe (493), France (296), Germany (134), and America and Asia (222) including Canada with (205).

The total number of guest workers and experts has reached 19,712 till September 30, 2019.
