Tunisia: CEPEX announces opening of two offices in Nigeria and Kenya

Tunisia’s Export Promotion Center (CEPEX) has opened two offices in Nigeria and Kenya at the end of the year, it announced.

CEPEX said the choice of these two countries falls in line with Tunisia’s strategic orientation to make Sub-Saharan Africa a preferred destination for its exports.

These two branches are added to o three others already operational on the continent, namely in Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The opening of a representation in Nairobi stems from Tunisia’s recent accession to the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (Comesa), a market of 500 million people, with gross domestic product (GDP) of 800 billion dollars, said CEPEX.

That of Nigeria follows the same logic, since Tunisia enjoys the status of observer member of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), of which Nigeria is a member.
