A working session was held at the Kebili governorate headquarters to review preparations for date collection and the start of the new agricultural season in the region.
The harvest of dates in Kebili is estimated this year at 240 thousand tons, including 85% of the variety of “Deglet Nour”.
The meeting focused on the importance of overcoming the difficulties faced by farmers in collecting and transporting dates, strengthening the control of packing and packaging units for dates and encouraging exporters to prospect new markets abroad.
