Tunisia: eight companies take part in FOODEX Japan

Eight Tunisian companies operating in the agro-food sector are taking part in the 42nd edition of the International Food and Beverage Exhibition “FOODEX”, held at the Makuhari Messe Exhibition Center in Tokyo, Japan from March 7 to 10, 2017.

The objective is to consolidate the presence of the Tunisian agri-food industry on the Japanese market and all the Asian countries.

“Tunisian companies share a pavilion with a surface area of 126m2, featuring national flagship products such as olive oil, dates, wines, canned food, table olives and pasta, the Export Promotion Centre (CEPEX) said Thursday.

It added that “a cooking show is organized daily at the national pavilion, jointly hosted by a Tunisian Chef and a Japanese Chef and highlighting the Tunisian exhibited products.”

In addition, a seminar on “the agri-food sector in Tunisia” was organized on the 1st day of the fair by the Tunisian Embassy in Tokyo and was moderated by representatives of CEPEX and the Technical Packing and Packaging Centre (PACKTEC).

Tunisia is participating for the 20th consecutive year in FOODEX, which is the largest trade exhibition of agri-food products in the Asia zone.

Each year, the show brings together more than 3,000 exhibitors and welcomes more than 75,000 professional visitors.
