Tunisia: FDI jumps 29.2% in H1 2018

Non-energy foreign direct investment rose by 29.2% in the first half of 2018 compared to the corresponding period of last year, reaching 547 million dinars against 423 MD, which is synonymous with the creation of 3101 jobs.

FDI in services jumped 54.3%, while in the industrial sector, they went up by 21.6% for a total of 403 million dinars. Those in the agricultural sector grew by 134%.

By country, France leads with 215 million dinars, or 39% of all non-energy flows. It is followed by Qatar (16%), Italy (12.6%), followed by Germany and the United Kingdom, which retain their status as strategic partners.
