Tunisia: foreign exchange reserves recover their February-2017 level

Tunisia’s net foreign exchange reserves recovered their end-February 2017 level in terms of days of imports, boosted in particular by higher tourism receipts.

According to data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), net foreign exchange reserves amounted to 18.9 billion dinars on November 13, 2019, covering 106 days of imports, their highest level since late February 2017.

Compared to the same date of the previous year, the stock of foreign currency increased by 5.57 billion dinars representing 24 days of imports.
