Tunisia: France issues 154 thousand visas to Tunisians in 2018

France issued 3,571,388 visas in 2018 against 3,420,396 in 2017, which represents an increase of 4.4%, according to data published on the website of the Directorate General of Foreigners in France.

In fact, 3,347,331 short-stay visas and 224,057 long-stay visas have been issued. Visa applications went up by 7.2% from 4,002,677 in 2017 to 4,289,211 in 2018, with the number of visas refused amounting to 675,078 in 2018.

In addition, 15 nationalities were awarded the highest number of visas. The Chinese top the list with 875,994 visas issued, followed by Russians (372,451), Moroccans (334,016), Algerians (297,104) and Indians (268,239).

In sixth place are the Tunisians (154.011) followed by the Turks (125.290), the Saudis (93.313), the Vietnamese (69.793), the Thais (65.754) and the Lebanese (61.513).

As for the first residence permits issued, Tunisians are in third position with 16,326 first residence permits issued, ahead of Moroccans (29,822 titles) and Algerians (30,869).
