Tunisia: industrial selling prices rise 8.8% at end of October

Industrial selling prices rose by 8.8% year-on-year at the end of October (8.9% in September 2018), according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

According to the institute, this increase is mainly due to the rise in the prices of the products of the manufacturing industry by 9.7% and prices of the products of the extractive industry by 11.3%, due to the growth in the prices of energy extraction products by 12.4% and non-energy products by 7.6%.

The increase in the prices of products of the manufacturing industry is mainly due to the rise in prices of products of the agro-food industry by 0.7%, the products of the chemical industry by 24.3% and the mechanical and electrical industry products by 7.3%.
