On the proposal of the Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Mr. Marouane El Abbassi, the Government on Friday, August 24, 2018 appointed Ms. Nadia Gamha as the new Deputy Governor of the issuing institution. She is the first woman to hold this position in Tunisia.
Taking over from Mr. Mohamed Rekik, who has his term of office ending this week, Ms. Gamha was the first woman in Tunisia to take up the position of chief of staff of the Governor of the Central Bank before being appointed head of Banking Supervision by the Governor of the time, Mr. Mustapha Kamal Nabli in July 2011.
