The number of tourists who visited Tunisia until May 20, 2018 reached 2.3 million, up 21. 8% compared to the same period in 2017 and 5.7% compared to the 2010 reference year which is a first since 2011, said a Prime Ministry document.
The rate of European tourists edged up 50% and North Africans grew 16.4%.
Tourist revenues climbed 37.7% as of May 20, compared to the same period in 2017, to 876.2 million dinars.
These indicators confirm the recovery of the tourism sector, driven by improved security situation in the country.
