The Qatar Friendship Fund (QFF) signed on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in Tunis financing agreements for the benefit of five Tunisian financial institutions for a total amount of $ 15 million (the equivalent of 45 million dinars).

The financing agreements concerned the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Bank (BFPME), Zitouna Tamkeen, Enda Tamweel, Baobab Tunisia and Asad Tamweel.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ridha Chalghoum, Finance Minister, Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari, QFF President and Saad Ben Nasser Al-Humaidi, Qatar’s Ambassador to Tunisia.

These loans will be used for the creation of new projects and, by extension, for new jobs mainly in the interior regions of the country.

Established in 2013, the Qatari Friendship Fund aims to promote the culture of entrepreneurship and the knowledge economy to a Tunisian youth who are now suffering from unemployment.
