According to the note issued by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) on economic and monetary developments, labor income amounted to €754.6 million for the first seven months of 2019, as against 739.2 million a year ago.
After falling by 4.6% (in euros) in the first half of 2019, its revenues increased by 2.1% in July thanks to a net improvement in remittances from abroad, which would have totaled 175 million euros, compared with 132 million in July 2018.
According to a study by the World Bank (WB), the amount of remittances by Tunisians living abroad for the year 2018 is estimated at $ 2 billion.
