Tunisia: reported investment in services declines 32%

Investments reported in the first seven months of this year in the service activities reached the amount of 923.9 MD against 1356.5 MD during the first seven months of 2017, down 31.9%.

The number of projects reported reached 6,560 in the first seven months of 2018 compared with 5,172 in the first seven months of 2017, up 26.8%. This is what emerged from the latest figures released by APII.

These projects will create 27,155 jobs, compared with 22,483 jobs in the first seven months of 2017, up 20.3%.

Compared to the same month last year, reported investments in the service activities saw a rise of 65.7% (141.1 MD vs. 85.1 MD in July 2017).

The number of projects reported grew from 458 to 751 during the month of July 2018, i.e. an increase of 64.0%.

The number of jobs to be created reached 3,562 against 1862 in the month of July 2017, up 91.3%.
