Tunisia: reported investment in services falls by half

Reported investment in the first four months of 2018 in the service activities reached the amount of 441.1 MD against 800.3 MD during the same period of 2017, posting a decrease of 44.9%, according to the latest figures from the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII).

The number of reported projects reached 4,098 in the first four months of 2018 compared to 3,369 in the first four months of 2017, up 21.6%.

These projects will create 15,833 job positions, compared to 14,529 jobs during the first four months of 2017, i.e. an increase of 9%.

The month of April 2018 saw the reporting of 918 service projects corresponding to an investment amount of 129.4 MD and job creations numbering 3733.

Compared to the previous month during which 907 projects, 100.9 MD investment and 3,577 jobs were reported, the month of April saw a rise of 1.2% in the projects to be implemented, up 28.2% in terms of reported investments and 4.4% at the level of the jobs to be created.
