Revenues from Tunisia’s exports of dates in 2017/2018 increased 22.2% (402.401 MD), according to data made available Monday by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries.
The export volume likewise was up 7.52%, standing at 66,116 tons.
This is the result of quantities exported to Australia, Qatar, India and Canada climbing 60%, 47.4%, 45% and 30% respectively.
Exports to traditional markets, namely Morocco, Italy, Indonesia and France, kept the same pace.
The volume of exports of organic dates has edged up 19.42% from the start of the season (October 1, 2017) up to March 15, 2018, to 5,099. 1 tons, against 4,270 tons in the previous season.
