Tunisia: SIPHAT sees Q1 revenues edge down 24% to 7 million dinars

The Company for Pharmaceutical Industries, SIPHAT, has just published its activity indicators for the first quarter of the current year.

These indicators point to a 24% drop in the turnover to 7 million dinars, compared with 9.3 million a year earlier, representing 15% of the budgeted turnover.

The value of production went from 8.6 million dinars in the first quarter of 2018 to 6.3 million at the end of March, i.e. a drop of 27%.

As for the company’s debt, it went from 34.7 million dinars at the end of December 2018 to 42.2 million at the end of the first three months of the current year, thus registering a 21% increase.

In addition, SIPHAT’s workforce posted a decrease of 4% at the end of March to 525 employees against 547 a year earlier.
