Tunisia: SOMOCER increases turnover by 27% in 2017

The company SOMOCER kicks off the publications of indicators of activity relating to the 4th quarter of 2017.

The turnover realized in the last quarter of the past year posts a jump of 38.22% driven by the sales on the local market by 40.3% compared to the same period of 2016, to the level of 21 million dinars.

Export turnover also confirmed the upward trend of the previous quarter. Fostering a growth of 25.5% in Q3 2017, export sales recorded a new growth of 24.9% in Q4 2017 to 2.9 million dinars.

In this wake, the company has managed to conquer new markets like France, Jordan and Algeria, which has allowed it to consolidate its position abroad.

Over the whole of 2017, the overall turnover increased by 27.25% to 84.8 million dinars supported by a surge in exports by 71.25% and consolidation of sales on the local market , up 22.54%. The latter accounts for 87.8% of SOMOCER sales.

Compared with September 30, 2017, bank commitments as of December 31, 2017, decreased by 8.3% to 58.4 million dinars compared to a total of 63.6 million at the end of the previous quarter.
