The Tunisian Company of Telecommunications Companies (SOTETEL) has published its activity indicators for the third quarter of 2019. These show a -23% decline in revenue for the third quarter of the year to 8.1 million dinars.
The company’s total turnover has almost stagnated in the first nine months of 2019, compared to the same period of last year to 31.1 million dinars.
Cumulative local turnover fell by -3% to 29 million dinars while exports increased 129% to 1.7 million dinars.
Operating expenses rose + 12.5% at the end of September to reach 30.9 million dinars, compared to 27.4 million a year earlier, mainly due to higher purchases consumed by + 14.6% to 17.3 million dinars.
Therefore, the EBITDA of the subsidiary of Tunisie Télécom shows a decline of 93.1% at the end of the first nine months of the year to settle at 239 thousand dinars, against 3.4 million a year earlier.
