The “Société Tunisienne de Verreries” (SOTUVER) announced that its Board of Directors met on Tuesday, March 05, 2020 and decided the creation of a new subsidiary company named “SOTUVER GLASS INDUSTRIES” 100% owned by SOTUVER and having for object the production of glass containers for foodstuffs.
The new plant will be located in the industrial zone of Jebel Oust in the Governorate of Zaghouan, and will have an annual production capacity of 90,000 tons, of which about 75% will be exported to Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The SOTUVER stresses that the start of production is planned for the second half of 2021 and investments will be around 110 million dinars.
