According to the daily monetary and financial indicators of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), cumulative tourism receipts reached as of August 2,2018 the sum of 2,323 billion dinars recording a rise of 755 million dinars (+ 48%) compared to at the same time date of the previous year.
In contrast, the Tunisian dinar depreciated 11.1% against the euro and 10.7% against the US dollar between August 2017 and August 2018.
As of August 20, Tunisia exceeded 5 million foreign tourists, according to the chief of staff of the Minister of Tourism.
